Book Context
Carrie is bullied relentlessly by her peers, and this culminates in her being crowned prom queen, only so she can be set up to have pig blood dumped on her in a final act of humiliation.  The story has a theme of sin and blood, and it is this final dreadful act that pushes Carrie over the edge.  The bucket included with this slime has "CARRIE WHITE EATS SHIT" on it, a quote that appears throughout the book.  The title for this slime comes from the chapter name when the prank and subsequent horror occurs.

Notes on Texture
New name for this texture! Velveteen(formerly snow thick) is a dense wg and cg combo with lots of snow, which feels like a plush velvet. In the book, Carrie’s red dress is made of velvet, so this texture is a perfect match. As I already had another red and white slime in this drop, I changed the color of the base from white to red - which was actually the color of Carrie’s prom dress in the book, unlike the movie, where it was white.

Notes on the Book Cover
I loved the design of the original book cover, but found the woman to look too adult for how I imagined Carrie - I redesigned it with a younger looking woman, who also has the paler hair Carrie has.  I did try to replicate the expression from the original as best as I could, with her wide, dark eyes.
