Book Context
Carrie is bullied relentlessly by her peers, and this culminates in her being winning prom queen only so she can be set up to have pig blood dumped on her in a final act of humiliation.  The story has a theme of sin and blood, and it is this final dreadful act that pushes Carrie over the edge.  The bucket included with this slime has "CARRIE WHITE EATS SHIT" on it, a quote that appears throughout the book.  The title for this slime comes from the chapter name when the prank and subsequent horror occurs.

Notes on Texture
The base of this slime is my new snow thick texture, as Carrie's prom dress in the book is made of velvet - in the book the dress is red, so to create more visual contrast I did what the movie did and made her dress white - there is a slight pearlescent sheen, as I tried to capture the look of the fabric from the movie.

Notes on Scent
The prom Carrie attends has the theme of "Springtime in Venice," and when Carrie first walks in with her date she notes the sweet smell of flowers.  I created a gentle blend of flower scents to evoke this moment of calm and joy Carrie feels before being pranked.

Notes on the Book Cover
I loved the design of the original book cover, but found the woman to look too adult for how I imagined Carrie - I redesigned it with a younger looking woman, who also has the paler hair Carrie has.  I did try to replicate the expression from the original as best as I could, with her wide, dark eyes.
